How to Move Your Story to NovelCult in One Click

Paste a link to your story and NovelCult imports the whole thing — every chapter, in order, in one go. NovelCult is the only web fiction platform where you can bring across a back catalogue of hundreds of chapters in a single click, instead of copying and pasting them one at a time for a week.

You do not have to take your story down anywhere else. NovelCult's licence is non-exclusive, so cross-posting here alongside your existing platforms is fine, and you keep full ownership of your work.

Why cross-post to more than one platform?

Serialised fiction lives or dies on discovery, and every platform has a different audience with different browsing habits. A story that stalls in one catalogue often finds readers in another, and posting in more than one place means one platform's algorithm change cannot end your readership overnight.

The usual reason authors do not cross-post is the work: re-uploading two hundred chapters by hand is a weekend nobody has. That is the problem one-click import removes.

One caution before you start. If your story is under an exclusivity agreement with another platform, check that contract first. Non-exclusive and self-published work is free to cross-post; contracted exclusives may not be. That is between you and them, and it is worth five minutes to confirm.

Move your story from Royal Road

Copy the URL of your fiction's main page on Royal Road and paste it into the migration form. NovelCult detects the platform and imports every publicly available chapter, in order.

Move your story from Webnovel

Copy your book's URL on Webnovel and paste it into the migration form. Freely available chapters are imported automatically. Chapters locked behind Webnovel's paid unlock are not publicly readable, so those need one of the file-upload routes below.

Move your story from ScribbleHub

Paste your series URL from ScribbleHub. Chapters are detected and imported in publication order.

Move your story from FanFiction.net

Paste the story URL from FanFiction.net and the chapters are imported the same way.

Fanfiction is welcome on NovelCult, but read the content policy on fanfiction and monetisation before setting up paid early access on a fanwork.

Import from a Google Drive folder

If your novel lives in Google Drive rather than on another platform:

  1. Open your novel folder in Google Drive.
  2. Right-click, then choose Share, then Get link.
  3. Set access to "Anyone with the link can view".
  4. Copy the link and paste it into the migration form.

The folder should contain your volumes or chapters as separate files (DOCX, TXT, and similar).

Upload your own files

If your work is not online anywhere, upload it directly:

  • DOCX or TXT — your chapters or full manuscript.
  • ZIP file — compress all your chapter files into one ZIP and upload it. We extract and process each file automatically. This is the fastest route for a large back catalogue.
  • EPUB or HTML — for already-formatted e-books.

How to create a ZIP: select all your chapter files, right-click, then choose "Compress" or "Send to ZIP folder".

How ownership is verified

To protect authors from having their work uploaded by someone else, we verify ownership before anything is published.

Discord verified authors

If you are verified on our Discord server, we process your request immediately after matching your Discord username.

Email verification

If you are not verified on Discord, we send you an email with instructions on how to prove ownership. This may include:

  • Adding a temporary note to your story's author description.
  • Replying from the email linked to your original platform account.
  • A screenshot of your author dashboard on the original platform.

Frequently asked

Do I have to remove my story from other platforms? No. The licence you grant NovelCult is non-exclusive. Publish wherever else you like.

How many chapters can I import at once? There is no chapter limit. Back catalogues in the hundreds are the case this was built for.

Do I keep the rights to my work? Yes. Authors retain ownership of their intellectual property. NovelCult hosts the work; it does not acquire it.

Can I monetise an imported story? Once a book passes 40,000 words and you have completed verification, you can set up optional paid early access. See author monetization.

What happens to chapter order and formatting? Chapters are imported in publication order. Review formatting after import and adjust anything that did not carry across — see publishing and formatting.

Start migrating

Migration runs from the author dashboard. If you do not have an account yet, you will be prompted to create one; it is free, and you keep the rights to your work.
