The Runic Protocol
In a galaxy where high-tech colonization meets the primal forces of the void, survival is a matter of frequency. S-17 was born in the silence of a deep-space laboratory, a "vessel" forged through the cruel Evolution Adaptation experiments of the sinister Dr. Thorne. Augmented with reinforced bone density and a mind capable of processing infinite data, he was designed to be the ultimate survivor. But when he is discarded onto the surface of Xylos, he discovers a power the scientists could never replicate. Xylos is a world saturated with Aether—a primal, raw energy that flows through the air, the beasts, and the planet’s crystalline core. While most require years of grueling discipline to learn Vibration—the rare ability to sense and influence the Aether—S-17 perceives it instinctively as "ripples" in the world around him.
