Death was supposed to be the end of Visthal’s reign. Instead, it was a humiliating demotion. Reincarnated into the demon world of Xeenar, he’s trapped in the lowest form imaginable: a literal stain of demonic slime left behind by the succubus Luriel. Abandoned in the deadly Dark Glade, Visthal realizes that survival requires aggressive expansion. By absorbing raw elemental Ether, he begins to evolve his fluid form and assemble an unlikely vanguard. With a loyal two-headed Bihound, an army of goblin contractors, and the fiery succubus Grimora bound to his side, Visthal is turning his pathetic rebirth into a monopoly of power. Luriel and the Demon King Markon think they rule Xeenar. They have no idea a rogue slime is auditing their empire—and he’s about to liquidate their assets.
