SAIKON

Ryo Kenzaki was good at being invisible. Just another high schooler, keeping his head down and waiting for each day to end. Then a star fell from the sky. When Ryo pulls a dying woman from the crater it leaves behind, he learns the world he knows is already breaking. Beyond it lies the Hunting Realm—a place where monsters are born from fallen Hunters, and something is beginning to push through. Hunted by a creature he cannot understand, Ryo is dragged to a sanctuary between worlds and forced into a choice that was never really his: take up a Kizugami, a living blade forged from wounds, or die before dawn. But the blade doesn’t obey. It judges. As the weapon begins to search his soul, Ryo is pulled into a war he never asked to join—one shadowed by an impossible Eye in the sky, a relentless Kaimon on his trail, and an ending that may already have been decided. Ryo never wanted to be a Hunter. But if becoming one is the only way to protect what remains, he’ll have to answer a far more dangerous question: When the world strips everything from him, can he still stand as himself once more? Years later, as a massive dam threatens to silence the sacred waters forever, forgotten legends begin to awaken. The dragon's strength wanes, the river's voice grows faint, and two souls unknowingly destined for one another must uncover the truth hidden beneath the flowing current. The Advent of the Soul Tree

What if you died a nobody and woke up as a tree? Dendron died a nobody. He quit jobs, avoided conflict, and spent his days doing the bare minimum. When a truck ends his unremarkable existence, he expects nothing at all. Instead, he wakes up as a tree: rooted, immobile, and monumentally alone. In a forest teeming with monsters, cultivators, and beast tribes, Dendron discovers he's been given a second chance, and a LitRPG system to go with it. He can absorb soul cores, grow spiritual fruit, and even parasitize other creatures to build a network of avatars. Soon, he builds a network of wolves, apes, and allies who see him as a mysterious merchant, a powerful tree, or even a god. But being surrounded isn't the same as being understood. He is a reincarnator in a world that doesn't know his past. A tree in a forest of beasts. A creature in a world that fears anything it can't name. And something put him here on purpose. Whatever put him here has plans for him, and they may be far more terrifying than being a tree. "A truck hit me five minutes ago, and now I'm a fucking tree?" A LitRPG cultivation fantasy about growth, loneliness, and the quiet horror of becoming something you never planned to be. If you enjoy slow-burn mysteries, hidden organizations, ancient beings, layered worldbuilding, and gradually uncovering the true nature of a world, you may find something to enjoy here. Deep family secrets reveal their matching fates were never an accident. Someone in the shadows wants them both dead, and the ultimate threat hides behind the faces they trust the most. ABSOLVE: The Dark Horse

He was arguing that free will exists when the world ended. One move from winning. A stone between his fingers. His oldest rival across the board, insisting that nothing anyone does is truly chosen — that every step of a man's life was laid down before he took the first. Then the room skipped, and Shen Huang woke facedown in black water on a world that had never heard of Earth. He did not panic. He counted. Wrong cold. Fog the color of a bruise. A crowd above him, waiting. Two seconds, and he understood he was dead, and elsewhere, and here on purpose. The third second was the one that should have frightened him. He was interested. In this world, power is inherited. The Vashari are born holding it — fire that follows the eye, minds that bend memory, futures read like a page. Everyone else is Nuun. The empty. The severed. Cattle with names, herded into a drowned frontier nobody else wanted. Shen Huang has no power. He will never have power. He has something worse. He has four thousand years of a dead world's warcraft locked behind his eyes — every siege, every betrayal, every annihilation history ever recorded — and he has landed among a people who have never seen a single one of them. They will call him the Nobody. Then the general. Then the King of the Empty. And when they finally find a word for what he is, it will not be a title. It will be a curse, whispered in a language older than their gods, for the thing that moves without being moved. He has done this before. He does not remember losing.

Reborn in the Mist

Jason knew how he was going to die next. He's been Yagura for a month now and there's a Tailed-Beast living inside him, he knew how he was going to die next. Nobody wants to die, not even those that have done it before. Navigating the world as Yagura Karatachi, Elite Jounin of Kirigakure and Jinchuriki of the Three Tailed Beast would be dangerous enough on its own but as a Kage-candidate for Fourth Mizukage, he's far too attractive for the likes of Obito and Madara to ignore. The true Yagura is destined for a near decade under Obito's genjutsu and his village the piggybank of the Akatsuki's plans. He can't let that happen and not just because he's caught up in it now. *** Allo, just wanna say this fanfic is my second go at envisioning a character in the position of supreme power; Kage. As Kages don't regularly do missions and violence often comes to them instead, there will be fewer fight scenes until Yagura/Jason begin to face the big threat to the Shinobi world. As such I'll mostly be exploring what *right* decisions Kirigakure could have taken and the challenges to those decisions post 3rd shinobi war, as well as trying to pre-empt Obito's Akatsuki with the current Kages; Onoki, Ay, Rasa, and Hiruzen/Minato. As an aspect of the fic, it will be very Yagura/Kiri-centric with other villages and characters having interlude chapters in between. I am taking this route because, well, it's interesting and I want to discover more of what Kirigakure and its Legendary Swordsmen could have been. Anyway, hope you enjoy.
