THE SECOND CRADLE - BOOK TWO OF THE IRON CRADLE SAGA

The invasion of Earth has already started. The champions return to find the Roslyn research facility infiltrated by hostile humans and aliens alike, and that the AI ARi left to help run the facility was offline... In a desperate race to save their families the champions find themselves fighting on home just as hard as they did in The Ascendancy. When they finally do make it back into the competition hundreds of years had passed while they were on Earth. The landscape is now prowled by massive predatory monsters and some of the original team that was left behind are missing. Join Earth's Champions and some new friends as they fight for Adeya and Earth continue. The series promises more fights, more dinosaurs, new and scary monsters and of course more Kobolds! In a genre built on solo heroes grinding for power, Gavin and Earth's champions once again choose a different path: reincarnating the souls of Earth's dead as spirit-born warriors, building armies instead of going it alone, forging alliances with alien species, and refusing to treat war as a game. But those overseeing the Ascendancy aren't safeguarding peace--they're filtering threats. Culling potential rivals before they can rise. Can Earth's champions survive alien dinosaurs, and a universe that seems to want to crush them? Our only allies, a race that died on Earth before humanity ever took its first steps... Step into the cradle, champion, and find out. THE SECOND CRADLE - A LITRPG ADVENTURE If you haven't had a chance to read the first book yet you can find it here on Novelpedia! Truth Beyond the Veil

Three close friends find their lives turned upside down after awakening from a strange event, and they receive powers they can’t explain. With these newfound abilities, they begin exploring the world, visiting places they never thought they would see. But the more they venture, the more they realize: the world isn’t what it seems. As they encounter ancient ruins, strange creatures, and forgotten remnants of a world long past, one truth becomes clear—they were never meant to stay on Earth. Driven by a need to uncover the origin of their powers and a way back to their home, they stumble upon secrets far greater than anything they could have imagined. This is a story of friendship, awakening, and a journey that spans far more than just one world. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello, I’m DarkCosmos, a first-time author writing for the love of the craft. While I'm still learning and refining my style (pardon any minor errors!), I am dedicated to this world and its characters. It can be a quiet journey at times, but I am here for the long haul. If you’re enjoying the story, stay tuned because the best is yet to come. I always welcome your feedback in the comments! This story is also being published on Royal Road.

Aevum - A VRMMO LitRPG Story

The incredibly anticipated game, Aevum, has just released today. Arthur has been waiting for this game for a long time, as it is the first true virtual reality MMORPG to ever be released. The company has been quite secretive about the technology behind it, though... Arthur will get to experience life in another world, along with fifty thousand other players as part of the first wave into Aevum. He will fight, learn, improve, make friends, make enemies, and uncover strange happenings in this new world. What to expect: A VRMMO story without "die in real life" stakes (I know, not everyone's cup of tea). A main character who is driven to become stronger through pure swordsmanship, no magic. Fairly light hearted tones, with descriptions of violence but nothing grotesque. PG-13 is roughly equivalent I would say.

A black coat draped over a white shirt, stained in dark, uneven patches that had yet to dry. Black trousers followed the same muted tone, blending him into the night as though he belonged to it more than the world around him. His hair was black, unremarkable at a glance, yet his eyes—sharp, brown, and unwavering—carried a quiet weight. Not exhaustion of the body, but something deeper, something that had settled within him long before this moment. Blood marked his clothes. Fresh enough to glisten faintly beneath the dim light, yet old enough to cling stubbornly, refusing to fade. The road remained silent. No footsteps but his own disturbed the stillness. No distant engines, no whisper of wind—nothing. Only a single street lamp stood above, casting a weak, yellow glow that felt… insufficient, as though it illuminated less than it should, leaving parts of the world just slightly beyond reach. And in that dim light— Something about the scene felt incomplete. Then, without warning, the streetlight flickered. Once. Then twice. Unfortunately, his life is about to get a lot more interesting.
