The Bells of the Buried World

Some roads lead somewhere. Others should never have existed. When a Bell sounds across the land, Marek expects trouble. He does not expect the roads themselves to stop agreeing with the maps. What begins as a routine journey carrying desperately needed medicine quickly becomes something stranger. Familiar routes lead travelers back to where they started. Forgotten roads return. Ancient markers point toward places that should be days apart. Maps that have been trusted for generations begin contradicting one another. And Marek is one of the few people capable of finding a way through. He is a skilled ranger and navigator, accustomed to reading terrain, judging distance, and noticing when something does not belong. But the world is beginning to behave according to rules no ranger was ever taught. Then Recognition begins changing people. New abilities emerge from what they understand, what they survive, and what they prove themselves capable of doing. Marek is not alone. A formidable warrior, an Elven scholar, healers, travelers, local leaders, and people caught on the wrong side of impossible roads are all beginning to discover pieces of the same mystery. None of them has the whole answer. Every discovery makes the world larger. Every answer creates another problem. And somewhere beneath roads that should not exist, something ancient is beginning to connect places that were never meant to touch. The Bells of the Buried World is a progression fantasy and high-fantasy mystery featuring exploration, meaningful character progression, practical problem-solving, dangerous creatures, archery, magic, ancient infrastructure, multiple fantasy peoples, combat with consequences, and a world whose history may be far stranger than anyone remembers.

Lord Dragon Shapeshifter

Artuse is a very hungry dragon. While most of his siblings possess powerful High Bloodline Abilities, his is a seemingly Lesser Earth one that allows him to transform into pebbles. But he doesn't mind, for he likes eating pebbles. In fact, Artuse likes eating just about everything. Dragons are a prideful race who strive to grow mightier and live carefree lives. They teach their younglings that all other races are nothing but wretches. That the younglings should train and learn to be strong. But Artuse is content as long as his stomach is full. Occasionally, a blue screen calling itself an Interface flashes before his eyes, identifying his bloodline as Gluttony. His bloodline may not be as simple as most assume, but Artuse, however, pays it no mind. His days are peaceful, and he has no desire to grow stronger. That is, until he meets a so-called wretched human who changes his view of the world... . . . A story slightly inspired by How to Train Your Dragon. A LitRPG story with both lighthearted moments and darker ones too.

My Master was A protagonist

Two people were traveling through the Forest of Doom. The one in the back was wearing a blue T-shirt and black trousers. At the moment, his black hair was drenched in sweat, and his expression was one of confusion. Normally, when you enter a forest, you could hear birds chirping, insects buzzing, and animals making noise, but he couldn't hear anything like that. Well, he did hear some scary noises, but he couldn't identify what they were, nor did he know what could make such noises. It felt like something was scrutinizing him from head to toe, but he couldn't pinpoint where that something was. The blonde-haired one was wearing an animal-furred cloak, under which he had gray pants and a white-yellowish shirt. He also had other things, like a sword strapped to his waist and belts holding different items. If he were on Earth, people would probably mistake him for a cosplayer. The one at the back, seemingly hesitating, spoke. "Mr. Alvin, are you sure we're going on the right path and haven't lost our way?" Pointing to a tree covered in thorns, he continued, "I feel like we have seen and passed by this tree three times already. Also, are you sure we're safe? I feel like I heard some scary growls, and I have a feeling something is watching us." Mr. Alvin turned around and gave a gentle smile. "Don't worry, Mr. Joshua." Pointing to the compass-like object he was holding, he said, "As long as we have this device, nothing will happen to us. As long as we follow the directions on this device, we'll be safe and reach our destination with no problem." Not knowing what to say to the Smiling Knight, Joshua shut up and followed the man. After some time, however, he saw the same thorn-covered tree again. His eye twitched before he could say anything. However, the compass-like object in Alvin's hand started beeping. Alvin exclaimed, "We're close." He started walking faster, and as he did, the beeping grew louder and faster. Joshua hurriedly followed, thinking, That thing sounds like a timer for a bomb. Alvin stopped as the beeping stopped. The space in front of them rippled like water, and then two doors came into view. A voice spoke in a somber tone, "What's the password?" The voice came from the compass in Alvin's hand. "Ahem, ahem." Clearing his throat, Alvin's expression turned serious as he said into the device, "Open Sesame." "What!" Joshua, who was behind him, was dumbfounded. -------------------------------------------------- Joshua somehow found himself in another world. After being taken in by a group of knights and going through more than his fair share of trouble, he discovered something unexpected: he wasn't the first person from another world to arrive here. Someone had come before him. Someone who had turned his life into a legend, living an adventure straight out of a protagonist's tale. And now, Joshua had to find his own place in a world where someone else had already played the protagonist.
