Fortunately he possessed a unique ability that enable him to lend his cultivation in exchange for Dao comprehension feedback in return. Turning to look at his youngest disciple that he took in a few decades back, Zhou Zaizhi felt a sense of relief. 'As long as I have this disciple, my survival is certain, Nascent Soul is in sight!' He thought happily with such optimistic world view, how innocent. It was a beautiful woman who seems to be in her early twenties. Instead of delicate flowing silk robe, this woman instead wore fur coat with light armor. Her name was Wan Zhaolu. Zhou Zaizhi sighed, "Lu'Er, why are you wearing your armor all the time? Isn't it uncomfortable? You should try wearing that silken skirt little Xiao gave you the other day." Wan Zhaolu who was wiping her sword looked up at him with a trace of anger and annoyance hidden inside her eyes: "Master, you know Xiaomiao?" Zhou Zaizhi tilted his head slight, he replied: "Of course? She's your friend after all." Wan Zhaolu sighed and was about to turn back to cleaning her sword when she heard him continued: "Or you could try this dress little Jinghua gave me. Sighs, why did she even give me such a thing? It’s not as if I can wear it." Wan Zhaolu snapped her head back at him, "Who is this Jinghua? Is she a woman?" "Huh? She is Yisong's junior, she visited us a few months ago remeber? She even introduced me to her master and aunt maste-" Zhou Zaizhi's words were cut off before he could finish, a sharp blade had already appeared beside his neck at some point in time. Reborn in the Mist

Jason knew how he was going to die next. He's been Yagura for a month now and there's a Tailed-Beast living inside him, he knew how he was going to die next. Nobody wants to die, not even those that have done it before. Navigating the world as Yagura Karatachi, Elite Jounin of Kirigakure and Jinchuriki of the Three Tailed Beast would be dangerous enough on its own but as a Kage-candidate for Fourth Mizukage, he's far too attractive for the likes of Obito and Madara to ignore. The true Yagura is destined for a near decade under Obito's genjutsu and his village the piggybank of the Akatsuki's plans. He can't let that happen and not just because he's caught up in it now. *** Allo, just wanna say this fanfic is my second go at envisioning a character in the position of supreme power; Kage. As Kages don't regularly do missions and violence often comes to them instead, there will be fewer fight scenes until Yagura/Jason begin to face the big threat to the Shinobi world. As such I'll mostly be exploring what *right* decisions Kirigakure could have taken and the challenges to those decisions post 3rd shinobi war, as well as trying to pre-empt Obito's Akatsuki with the current Kages; Onoki, Ay, Rasa, and Hiruzen/Minato. As an aspect of the fic, it will be very Yagura/Kiri-centric with other villages and characters having interlude chapters in between. I am taking this route because, well, it's interesting and I want to discover more of what Kirigakure and its Legendary Swordsmen could have been. Anyway, hope you enjoy.

The warrior of ashes: Tales of the chaos

In a world on the brink of destruction where myths and legends blur together, a prophecy remains the only perspective for the future. It foretells the ultimate struggle between good and evil—the destruction or the salvation of the world—born from the blade brandished by the Warrior of Ashes. However, for Thiongane soldiers like Pierre, this story is nothing more than a tale, a tall story. Amidst the constant horrors and the permanent anguish felt during every new battle against the Djinns for three centuries, they have never seen even a shadow of these Boechins and their radiant powers. And Pierre’s only experience with the gods had long since convinced him that they should expect no favorable divine intervention. But whether one believes it or not changes nothing. Despite himself, Pierre finds himself in the heart of the most tragic and ferocious battle he has ever known, unaware that it is the fruit of manipulations by entities beyond all human conception. And in the ashes of this tragedy, the story of a boy was meant to begin. The first cog in a cruel destiny whose mechanism seems unstoppable. The first prisoner of a web already woven. Georges Badji.

Everyone, grab your snacks!] Janya stared at Orn as if the girl had just saved the world—with nothing but lip balm. “Seriously? You brought face powder to a freaking firefight?” she muttered, counting the last few bullets in her magazine. Orn smiled and patted her own cheek. “I’m not dying ugly!” Janya let out a deep sigh and glanced at the girl beside her, who was busy applying lipstick. “What kind of stupid logic is that?!” “Content creator logic.” Orn winked. “Trauma first, go viral later, P’Kirin.” Janya briefly stared up at the sky as bullets whizzed towards them. For a split second, she considered giving up on life altogether. “If we make it out alive,” she said quietly, “I’m leaving you in the middle of the jungle. For real this time!”

But during her final mission in Afghanistan, the man she loved betrayed her and condemned her to die. As she drew her final breath, a single thought crossed her mind: “So this is how my life ends... If I ever get another life, I’ll never believe in love again.” But death was not the end. Da-young awakens in a completely different world, inside the body of Stella Von Thalion, the legitimate heir to a powerful ducal house. Stella once had everything a young noblewoman could ever desire: a title, an inheritance, and an important place within her family. But everything was taken from her. Accused of a crime she did not commit, Stella was humiliated before the nobility. Her own father refused to believe her. Her stepmother despised her. And her half-sister, Angelia, the woman who pretended to be sweet and innocent, gradually took everything that belonged to Stella. Her title. Her inheritance. Her place within the family. And even the man who had once been destined to stand by her side. Eventually, Stella was sentenced to exile, far from the capital and everyone she knew. But when Da-young discovers Stella’s memories, she quickly realizes that Stella was never the true villain of this story. She was simply the perfect victim. And Da-young refuses to suffer the same fate. Now, she is Stella. A new life begins. A new Stella—colder, more determined, and above all, far more dangerous. She also possesses something no one in this world knows about: her grandmother’s ring. A mysterious ring capable of summoning whatever objects she desires, though its powers still hide countless secrets. With her experience as an agent, her knowledge of the modern world, her mysterious power, and her newfound magical potential, Stella decides to completely change her circumstances. First, she will take back control of the Von Thalion Duchy. Then, she will reclaim her inheritance. And finally, she will bring down, one by one, everyone who played a part in her downfall. But Stella does not simply want revenge. She wants to build something that belongs entirely to her. She no longer needs her father’s approval. She no longer needs the Emperor’s love. She no longer needs the nobility’s recognition. Everything that was stolen from her will return to her hands. And while Angelia continues to play the role of the perfect empress before the court, Stella silently prepares for her return. Because this time, the former victim will not ask for justice. She will take it herself. They exiled her, believing she would disappear. They forgot one thing. A true villainess does not need to be loved. She only needs to become powerful enough that everyone is forced to respect her. I am Stella Von Thalion. And I’m going to take everything back.
